Scotty C hails from Stuttgart, Germany where at a very young age he developed an almost insatiable appetite for art, music and nature – these influences became the inspiration for his art. He grew up in Bowie, Maryland and now resides in central Virginia. Scotty C’s vast artistic range, not easily predictable or defined, is best described as a colorful amalgam of traditional fine art meets high tech digital. Scotty formally started his professional art career in 1989 in Washington, DC. designing for clients such as Time-Life, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel but abandoned the corporate life in 2000 to start focusing his artistic direction on his true inspirations. It was at this time that he had the honor of becoming a design partner and collaborator of legendary concert poster artist Bob Masse. Both as collaborations and as independent works, Scotty C has since created art for such Rock & Roll luminaries as ERIC CLAPTON, ROD STEWART, ROBERT PLANT, BO DIDDLEY, BRYAN ADAMS, ERIC BURDON, CANNED HEAT, VANILLA FUDGE, TONY BENNETT, DAVID BOWIE, FATS DOMINO, LITTLE FEAT, ALICE COOPER, THE DOORS and many more. Scotty C's artwork can be seen on a variety of apparel, concert posters, CD covers, books, calendars, and fashion accessories in retail markets throughout the world.
