Baron Wolman “saw’ the music. As a member of the original staff of Rolling Stone Magazine, Wolman’s photos appeared regularly in the magazine for nearly three years including issue number one in October 1967. Wolman comments, “In July 1969, Jerry Garcia, along with the rest of the band, posed individually in my Haight-Ashbury studio for a Rolling Stone cover shoot. This may be one of the first times that Jerry flashed his missing digit so openly and without reservation. Even long time Grateful Dead fans are still surprised that it’s gone. This photo of Jerry is one of my favorites. It is a tribute to him and the era. The picture was taken at a moment in time when so many of us were filled with excitement and innocence and hope.”

This fine art 16 x 20 photograph is a Silver Gelatin Print, Signed by the photographer.
