Baron Wolman “saw’ the music. As a member of the original staff of Rolling Stone Magazine, Wolman’s photos appeared regularly in the magazine for nearly three years including issue number one in October 1967. Wolman comments, “In the late sixties, Janis live around the corner from my San Francisco studio. In addition to shooting her at live Big Brother concerts, I made photos in her Haight-Ashbury apartment with her dog and cat, in my studio with a microphone for a private lip-synch session, and pictured here in 1968, in the attic retreat of a good friend. This particular photo was taken for an Eye Magazine feature story about Janis and Grace Slick (of the Jefferson Airplane.)”

This fine art 16”x 20”is a color print. Signed by the photographer.
