Al Hirschfeld

He is famous for his witty caricatures of celebrities from the theater and the arts, many of which have appeared in the New York Times. Al Hirschfeld is a child prodigy who grew old but never up. Al Hirschfeld, who for over 80 years had his drawings shown and exhibited throughout the world, passed away on January 20, 2003 at the age of 99.
Hirschfeld hides the name Nina, his daughter, at least once in every drawing. This lithograph was created in 2002. The paper size is approximately 20” x 24” and the image size is 13” x 18”. Hand signed by the artist.
